NATCHEZ – A local company, specializing in high-quality, large-scale fabrication, construction and manufacturing, is under new ownership and has changed its name to Great River Industries, effective July 1, 2014. The company, formerly known as Enersteel, will move its headquarters to Natchez and continue serving the natural gas, oil, petrochemical and power generation industries under the same local management. Great River Industries has also launched a new website – www.greatriver360.com.

The changes represent the company’s current and future perspective for growth across North America and will enable them to serve international customers. The GRI team delivers comprehensive, turn-key solutions, including producing ASME pressure vessels, heavy plate ductwork, API storage and production tanks, air quality control systems and large components for a variety of industries.

The company will retain its existing 150 employees and has plans for greater growth in the future. The premier location in Natchez, on the Mississippi River, provides access through the port to anywhere in the world. The facility has more than 100,000 square feet of indoor fabrication capacity, and the outdoor space offers two concrete work stations with more than 15,000 square feet and 14 acres of outdoor construction assembly area.

Aside from the headquarters in Natchez, GRI currently operates a sales office in Memphis, Tenn. They are owned by NGS Investments, which operates businesses serving the energy services industry. NGS Investments also has an interest in Cenergy, a West Virginia company specializing in engineering, manufacturing and construction for oil and gas companies.

“We are pleased to be growing in southwest Mississippi. Great River Industries will continue to bring innovation and competitive manufacturing practices to this region,” said Aaron Shermer, vice president for Business Development. “We plan to continue to serve a wide variety of industries, including power generation, natural gas, chemical and petrochemical, mining and steel. We are responding to our customers’ demands for specialty, large-scale fabrication and field construction.”

The investment in the current facility is, in part, made possible through collaboration with the Mississippi Development Authority.
